Instant Offices

Instant Offices partner portal

2024-2025 Commercial real estate

Overview

We partnered with Codiance Ltd as a contract Blazor developer, contributing to a 9-month engagement focused on enhancing a software-driven solution for flexible office space rentals.

Working closely with the client's team, we delivered new features, implemented enhancements, and tackled bug fixes to ensure a smooth, scalable user experience. The tech stack included Blazor, SQL Server, Docker, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git—tools we used daily to keep things fast, reliable, and developer-friendly.

It was a hands-on role that blended clean component architecture with thoughtful UI, helping the platform evolve in a competitive and rapidly growing industry.

2023-2024 Defence

Overview

We led the development of a proof-of-concept e-commerce platform for Spirax Sarco, built on the powerful Ordercloud platform. We tailored the back-end to handle multilingual support and crafted a responsive Angular front-end to deliver a smooth, modern user experience.

Beyond that, we jumped in to support several other projects with our usual hands-on approach. We rolled out styling improvements and tackled bugs on the Chromalox website, helped build a timesheet application for the Defence Medical Service using C#, React, and Next.js, and took the lead on back-end development for another Defence Medical Service site—this time combining Umbraco, C#, SQL, WebApi, and React to create a robust, scalable solution.

Whether it's global commerce or operational tooling for frontline teams, we love getting stuck in, solving problems, and delivering solid, user-focused software that just works.

CGI

2020-2023 Defence

Overview

We had the privilege of leading a development team on a high-impact project for the Ministry of Defence, delivering a secure, streamlined software solution to support the flow of military intelligence.

Working closely with stakeholders, we were actively involved in daily team operations, client meetings, and regular demos—ensuring transparency, momentum, and trust throughout. Our team played a key role in mentoring junior developers and embedding strong Agile practices that kept delivery focused and flexible. From shaping ideas to showcasing working features, we were hands-on every step of the way. Alongside the core project, we also contributed to a Blazor-based solution backed by C# and Entity Framework—continuing our passion for clean, modern architecture and elegant front-end experiences.

It was a mission-driven engagement, and we were proud to bring clarity, calm, and capability to such a sensitive and strategic space.

BMT Defence Services Ltd

2018-2020 Defense

Overview

We worked closely with BMT Defence Services over a 2-year period to deliver cutting-edge software across multiple defence projects. Our primary focus was a research and development platform designed to assess the impact of cyber attacks on military units during conflict scenarios. Built with a Java Spring Boot back end, MongoDB, and a React front end, the system included some seriously cool features—like real-time visualisations of radio frequency ranges, drone pathing, and countermeasure windows to outmaneuver enemy forces. We were heavily involved in customer discussions, planning sessions, and feature design, shaping the product from concept to implementation.

In parallel, we supported the Ministry of Defence with enhancements to an audit system used by gas regulators. This included upgrading a Windows 8 tablet app to a sleek new Windows 10 UWP app using WinJS, as well as developing a web-based system for syncing audits with a SQL-backed MVC web application—complete with conflict resolution tools to handle edge cases on merge.

And to round things off? We contributed to a system designed to calculate safe escape routes from aircraft carriers—because when seconds matter, smart software can make all the difference.

Dyson

2012-2028 Consumer electronics

Overview

We had the pleasure of supporting Dyson across their global web presence, delivering fresh features and improvements to their Sitecore-driven estate while bridging the gap between back-end and front-end development.

Our work spanned everything from complex C# and ASP.NET integrations to elegant, responsive UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Alongside Dyson's internal teams, we also crafted several standalone web apps for key initiatives like the Dyson Institute, Dyson Careers, the James Dyson Foundation, and the James Dyson Award—working with platforms like Umbraco, AEM, and a mix of Java and .NET technologies. We thrived in their agile environment, joining daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives, and we weren't shy about rolling up our sleeves for mentoring, code reviews, and even leading the team when the unexpected hit (including a major product recall that saw us step in and keep things running smoothly). Beyond code, we helped shape technical interviews, rolled out a Pluralsight pilot to champion developer growth, and even took the stage for a local dev talk on the inner workings of Adobe Experience Manager.

It was a collaboration full of problem-solving, creativity, and a shared belief that great tech should be both powerful and enjoyable to build.
